Sinopsis Film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Melanjutkan kisah sebelumnya mengenai seekor kera bernama Caesar (Pengisi suara: Andy Serkis), hasil eksperiman sekelompok ilmuwan yang membuat sang kera memiliki tingkat kecerdasan hampir menyamai manusia. Virus hasil eksperimen tersebut secara tidak sengaja terpapar ke manusia sehingga dengan cepat menyebar dan membunuh manusia sampai ke seluruh dunia.
Disisi lain, populasi para kera berotak cerdas justru semakin meningkat. Mereka membuat tempat tinggal, hidup dan berkembang biak dalam ketenangan dan kedamaian. Sampai suatu saat keberadaan mereka terancam oleh manusia yang berhasil selamat dari wabah virus mematikan beberapa tahun sebelumnya. Perjanjian perdamaian antara kera dan manusia sempat tercapai. Namun, tidak bertahan lama. Dan kini kedua belah pihak bersiap berperang untuk menentukan siapa spesies paling dominan di muka bumi ini. Apakah yang akan terjadi selanjutnya? :)

Film ini adalah kelanjutan dari film pertamanya pada tahun 2011 yang berjudul Rise of the Planet of the Apes dan diadaptasi dari sebuah Novel karya Pierre Boulle yang berjudul Planet of the Apes. Film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes akan dirilis pada tanggal 11 Juli 2014 di bioskop Amerika.
